WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE MOMENT/HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP?

The Bernina Express! While we first thought we might miss out with no snow-covered scenery, it turned out to be even more breathtaking without it, allowing us to fully appreciate the diverse landscapes and stunning countryside along the way.

WHICH DESTINATION(S) SURPRISED YOU THE MOST AND WHY?

The day trip to Jungfraujoch was so much more than I expected. I thought it would simply be about reaching the top of Europe and admiring the mountains up close, but there was so much more to explore. Walking through the tunnel, discovering the various attractions inside, and then having the incredible chance to step outside onto the snow was unforgettable (and chilly!). Standing in the fresh alpine air, surrounded by the majestic peaks, truly brought the mountains to life—it was absolutely breathtaking.

FAVOURITE ACTIVITY OR EXCURSION?

Jungfraujoch – The journey itself was unforgettable, with a mix of transportation modes adding to the experience. From scenic train rides to the incredibly smooth and spacious gondola, each leg of the trip offered its own unique charm, making the adventure to and from the summit truly special.

FAVOURITE FOOD FROM THE TRIP?

In Interlaken, we enjoyed a pumpkin, fig, and sage butter ravioli that was absolutely extraordinary.

BEST/STAND-OUT SERVICE YOU RECEIVED DURING THE TRIP…

The receptionist at our hotel in Chur was incredibly helpful during check-in, offering great suggestions for activities the next day (even though we didn’t have the time!) and explaining how we could use our Swiss Travel Pass for free or discounted entry to various attractions.

WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THIS TRIP TO YOUR CLIENTS/FRIENDS/FAMILY?

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE TRAVELLING BY RAIL?

We absolutely loved it! The stations were clean, well-lit, and had staff readily available both on the platforms and onboard the trains. Even when some public trains were busy, we always found a seat—thanks to the spacious double-decker carriages that accommodate plenty of passengers.

WHAT WAS YOUR FAVOURITE ACCOMMODATION AND WHY?

Our hotel in Montreux was our favourite—bright and spacious, with stunning lake views. The balcony, complete with a bistro-style table and chairs, made it the perfect spot to relax and soak in the scenery.

WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE OF BOOKING WITH MARVELLOUS ESCAPES?

The process was seamless, giving us complete confidence that our needs would be taken care of. We received regular updates throughout the booking journey, and just before our trip, they checked in to ensure everything was in order with the travel pack we had received.
