Visit must-see attractions like Inverness Castle, the Victorian Market, and the beautiful River Ness. Learn about the city's fascinating history, including its pivotal role in the Jacobite uprising, and experience the vibrant culture that makes this city a gateway to the Scottish Highlands. After a day of sightseeing, return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Inverness. (Overnight in Inverness)

Day 3 – Stornoway

Today’s adventure begins early with a scenic journey from Inverness to Ullapool, where you’ll board the ferry to the Outer Hebrides. As the ferry glides through Loch Broom and past the Summer Isles, keep your eyes peeled for dolphins or even a whale as you approach Stornoway, the vibrant capital of the islands.

Once on Lewis, your first stop takes you deep into history. Visit the 'blackhouse' at Arnol, a fascinating glimpse into the lives of Highland crofting families. Step inside this traditional dwelling and experience how people once lived in these resilient homes.

Next, you’ll travel through charming crofting communities to the rugged northern tip of the island, the Butt of Lewis. Here, you’ll find a lighthouse perched on towering cliffs, offering breathtaking views of the wild Atlantic waves crashing below.

After a full day of exploration, you’ll return to Stornoway for an overnight stay, ready for more adventures to come. (Overnight in Stornoway).

Day 4 – Stornoway

Today, you journey south to Harris, a land of stunning mountains and rich traditions. As you travel through the towering peaks, your guide will share the fascinating stories and folklore of this wild part of Scotland.

While towns are few and far between, you’ll stop for lunch in a charming village, taking in the peaceful surroundings before continuing your journey.

Next, prepare for one of the most memorable sights of the Hebrides – the stunning Luskentyre Beach. On a clear day, the turquoise waters and pristine white sands create a picture-perfect scene, ideal for a leisurely stroll or a moment of quiet reflection.

After soaking in the beauty of Harris, you’ll make your way back to Stornoway. To end the day, why not sample the local delicacy – the famous black pudding – for dinner. (Overnight in Stornoway)

Day 5 – Stornoway to Inverness

Today, you’ll step back in time to visit the iconic Calanais Standing Stones. These ancient megaliths, over 5,000 years old, are steeped in legend, with myths claiming they are petrified giants who refused to convert to Christianity. Whether you believe the tale or not, the sheer magnificence of this historic site will leave you in awe.

Leaving behind the mysteries of the past, you head west to explore the remote beauty of the far side of Lewis. This rugged landscape is full of dramatic natural beauty, and your driver-guide will choose a route that matches the weather and the group's preferences, ensuring you experience the best of the island.

After a day of exploration, it’s time to return to Stornoway. From there, you’ll board the ferry back to the mainland. As you cross the Minch, take one last look at the Outer Hebrides, reflecting on the island’s rich Gaelic heritage. Once you’ve arrived on the mainland, the journey continues with a scenic drive back to Inverness, where you’ll arrive in the evening. (Overnight in Inverness)

Day 6 – Loch Ness

Today, embark on the Complete Loch Ness Experience tour, exploring the secrets and stunning views of this famous loch. Departing Inverness, you'll travel along the Caledonian Canal to Dores, where you'll capture breathtaking photos of Loch Ness and the Great Glen. Continue to Foyers, where a scenic walk takes you to the beautiful Falls of Foyers. After a Highland drive, enjoy lunch in Fort Augustus and admire boats navigating the canal. The tour then takes you to Invermoriston and Urquhart Castle, where you’ll discover the rich history of the loch before boarding a relaxing one-hour cruise on Loch Ness. Return to Inverness in the evening. (Overnight in Inverness)
