AUSTRALIA RAIL HOLIDAYS
Australia rail holidays offer an unforgettable way to experience the sheer scale and diversity of this remarkable country. Travel through vast outback landscapes, ancient mountain ranges, golden deserts and rugged coastlines, all from the comfort of some of Australia’s most iconic trains.
Journey through the heart of the country aboard The Ghan, travelling between Darwin and Adelaide through Katherine, Alice Springs and the spectacular Red Centre. For an epic coast-to-coast adventure, the Indian Pacific crosses Australia between Sydney and Perth, passing through the Blue Mountains, Broken Hill, Adelaide and the vast Nullarbor Plain. Alternatively, discover Australia’s south-east aboard the Great Southern, travelling between Brisbane and Adelaide through coastal landscapes, regional Victoria and the Grampians.

These are journeys where the train is just as much a part of the experience as the destination. Settle into your private cabin, enjoy regional cuisine and Australian wines, and watch the ever-changing scenery unfold through your window. Along the way, included Off Train Experiences bring you closer to the landscapes, communities and stories that make each region unique.
Whether you want to combine an iconic rail journey with time in Sydney, Perth, Adelaide or Darwin, or create a longer Australian adventure combining multiple trains, our Australia rail holidays are tailor-made around you. From the rugged beauty of the Outback to vibrant cities and spectacular coastlines, we’ll create an unforgettable journey that lets you experience Australia at its most extraordinary.
