With over 15 years of experience in the travel industry, Sean has built an impressive career founded on a passion for creating exceptional holiday experiences and delivering outstanding customer service. Starting as a sales consultant with the UK’s largest tour operator, he worked his way through a variety of leadership roles before most recently leading the UK Call Centre for Sales and Air Operations at Viking Cruises. Today, as Head of Sales at Marvellous Escapes, Sean brings a wealth of expertise, industry knowledge and a genuine passion for helping clients discover the world through unforgettable journeys.

Growing up in a small Welsh town, Sean developed an early fascination with the wider world and a desire to experience different cultures, landscapes, and ways of life. That curiosity has since taken him across Europe, Asia and North America, travelling by land, sea and river. From the spectacular fjords of Norway and the Arctic frontier to the ancient wonders of China, Vietnam and Cambodia, every journey has strengthened his belief that travel is one of life’s greatest privileges.

Sean has a particular passion for Norway, where dramatic scenery, scenic railways and rich cultural heritage combine to create one of Europe’s most rewarding destinations. He is equally inspired by Switzerland, where journeys aboard the world-famous Glacier Express showcase the very best of rail travel, with breathtaking alpine landscapes unfolding beyond every window. He also believes that a rail journey through the Canadian Rockies is something every traveller should experience at least once, offering an unforgettable journey through soaring mountain peaks, turquoise lakes and vast wilderness.

A firm believer that the journey should be just as memorable as the places you visit; Sean loves the unique perspective that rail travel provides. Travelling by train allows you to slow down, watch ever-changing landscapes unfold, and arrive right in the heart of a destination, creating a deeper connection with the places you visit. For him, rail travel offers a level of immersion, comfort, and discovery that few other forms of travel can match.
